Final Breakthrough in Antwerp: Linking shipping and rail traffic.
On July 23, tunnel constructors celebrated final breakthrough in the second tube for freight trains in Antwerp's container port. The S-532 Mixshield reached the target shaft and after 18 months the tunnel construction for the "Liefkenshoek Rail Link Project (LHSV)" successfully ends in time.

Breakthrough for Belgium's largest transport project.
On May 16, tunnel constructors celebrated breakthrough in the first freight train tube in Antwerp's container port after only 11 months. The S-532 TBM is expected to reach the target shaft in the second tube at the end of July. The "Liefkenshoek Rail Link Project (LHSV)" is currently the largest infrastructure project in Belgium.

Breakthrough in Lyon: Extension of Line B ahead of schedule.
There has been important progress on the extension of Metro Line B in Lyon. The Herrenknecht S-546 Mixshield reached final breakthrough in Lyon on April 21, 2001, one month ahead of schedule.

High pressure in Delhi: Go for gold.
The mega project “Delhi Metro Phase II” is aimed at extending the subway network in the Indian metropolis by around 125 kilometers within a mere three and a half year. Global Tunnelling Experts supported the project with 5 experts. Herrenknecht delivered a total of 10 EPB Shields to ensure that the construction work can be completed on schedule.
